It is a short essay video reflecting on listening to a song written by Dmitri Shostakovich.  As a way of evaluating his life as an artist under a repressive regime, the composer set poems by Marina Tsvetaeva whose works were banned for years to music.  "Hamlet's Dialogue with His conscience" is part of the song cycle, 6 Poems Of Marina Tsvetaeva Op. 143.
