In this performance—made during the artist residency in Heraklion, Crete—subtle movements, large video projection and images on two monitors coalesce. The work is inspired by Mount Ida, a famous landmark of Crete that is frequently referred to as "Zeus mountain." On its slopes lies Idaean cave where Zeus is believed to be born or nurtured. It reflects on the concept of public image and media celebrity through personification of Mount Ida while appropriating texts from Gertrude Stein’s novel Ida. In the novel, the protagonist Ida is depicted as someone who constantly rests, responds to the desires of others and becomes famous for being famous.
